Kamp Amersfoort - executions

This temporary exhibition at Kamp Amersfoort Museum explores the executions carried out at the former prisoner camp on this exact location. The exhibition uses spatial contrast to confront visitors with the human reality behind this tragic history.

A series of rifles line up precisely with the discarded shoes of executed prisoners, creating a grim and confronting image through their juxtaposition and sombre lighting. Additional artefacts were presented in wall-mounted showcases, while large-scale graphic walls brought the exhibition together and provided context to the stories being told.

For this exhibition I worked as lead exhibition engineer and project manager in close cooperation with MOXIE design, contributing to its design development and realisation. Moxie Design's open approach also allowed me to contribute to the materialisation and detailing of the overall design.
